Hi, I'm Yamapez.
I'm drawn to making things — and to how computers actually work. Here I share my projects and notes.
About
I'm someone drawn to making things — and to how computers actually work. I enjoy both sides: building something, and understanding the machinery underneath.
Interests
The one I've stuck with the longest is the Touhou Project. Beyond the feel of the bullet patterns and the music, I love the densely woven world and all the lore and systems that hold it together — every time I play, I can't help imagining how it was all put together.
Tending my Linux desktop (Arch + Hyprland) to my own taste is another favorite pastime. I like the slow work of shaping a tiling setup and tweaking config files bit by bit. Losing myself in another world through VR, listening to music, or sketching ideas in Reaper / Bitwig are all good ways to spend time too.
At the root of it all is a curiosity about making things. Sketching out a game design, daydreaming about homebrew hardware — even if nothing ever ships, the time spent dreaming up the idea is what excites me most.
What I'm building
- An original bullet-hell shooter × RPG concept (a versus-first idea inspired by Phantasmagoria of Flower View)
- Shaping a Linux desktop environment to my own taste
- Small experiments — trying out whatever catches my eye
